NEEDINFO to install mageia 3 a 3 i used iso dvd this is the installer which installed my wifi adapter i didn't use drakconnect. well s/drakconnect/anythink related to drakx if you want/
>this is the installer which installed my wifi adapter
what does that mean ? it was automatically installed or not ? (after the install)
if you fallow my first comment, it should works. So I don't see your bug.
if it doesn't then there is one, and you will have to attach the output of lspcidrake -v.
Steps to Reproduce: install mageia 3 a2 with "installer dvd" then at the end of the installation procedure reboot your pc then for the first time open a kde session then open draknet then go to wifi adapter management then you see a wlan0 connexion was created during installation procedure but no wifi network is displayed in the list then as root with lsmod you see all modules of the driver for the wifi adapter are there and loaded then install the packet for installing the ralink firmware ralink-firmware-20121030-1.mga3.nonfree.noarch.rpm then now you see all the wifi networks in the neighborhood conclusion : during mageia installation procedure a wlan0 connection is created. the ralink driver is uncompletely installed. yes because your card needs a nonfree drivers which is not (yet in the iso), if you add online media and enable nonfree it should install the package automatically. it's this way since a long time now. yes
