Function is_wireless_device() in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/network-functions does't work with kernels>=3.6.
Problem is in comment http://kernelnewbies.org/Linux_3.6#head-85de5e5247a939f2a61d0c5ccbc13ff5b4f1a6a0 (wireless: remove wext sysfs)
New kernels does not use /sys/class/net/*/wireless/

No need to fix for older releases...

the removed sysfs is restored upstream:
