Description of problem: since latest cauldron update booting to runlevel 2 works, but target=multi-user.target takes forever

Sorry for the poor bug report.
The GUI issue seems to be in nvidia module version missmatch,but changing to nouveau tells me no screens found.
Please tell me what additional information I could provide. Thanks.

Are you sure that you are booting w/o nokmsboot parameter? AFAIK nouveau doesn't work with nokmsboot option.

So you are:
- running an "ancient" kernel (we are at 3.6 series now)
- using nokmsboot wich nouveau does not like
- you are explicitly telling it to boot into runlevel 3

Thank you Thomas Backlund and Sander Lepik.
I used an ancient kernel b/c 3.4.6 did not boot.
I could not make nouveau work with 3.4.5 either, but I didn't test further.
Now I reinstalled nvidia packages and it works with kernel 3.4.5.

I am going to fill proper bug reports about the slow boot, the not working nouveau and the kernel not booting.
