DVD install proceeds normally.  I select lilo.  On reboot, I get the choice screen of what to boot, but nothing at all happens from there.

I'd previously mentioned this re an earlier alpha in the Thursday QA discussion and mention was made of fixing this, but still present, hence the bug report.  From earlier alpha experience, re-running the installation, not formatting the relevant partition so getting rapidly to config allows choosing grub instead, which then worked as I recall.

Have you used the classic install ? if yes can you provide the file /root/drakx/report.bug.gz as an attachment ?
