I use Xfce and Compiz, nor KDE and Gnome are installed (Mageia 3 DVD 32 bits, i checked 'other" and then downloaded xfce)

By default, the DM was Lightdm... but the MCC said it was Lxdm !

If i select another DM using the MCC (lightDM, GDM...), the MCC remembers my choice, but nothing occurs. I cannot switch to another DM than Lightdm. The only way was to uninstall Lightdm.

Could you please try again after you've disabled and stopped the lightdm service? (I guess it shouldn't have been enabled at any point).

As root:
systemctl disable lightdm.service
systemctl stop lightdm.service

Preferably use those commands in tty (alt+ctrl+f2) as the latter one stops the graphical desktop until you reboot the machine or restart the dm service.

Sorry but after the latest updates yesterday morning, that included a new version for Lightdm, i cannot reproduce this bug...

Seems to be solved !
