If you get a chance to do another install, please make a screenshot of the screen in which you press the help button, and of the (non-)help you get then. You can get a screenshot by pressing F2, screenshots will be stored in /root/DrakX-screenshots/ Bug 5086 is still valid, btw :( CC:

It looks like the on-screen notes about how to access the various vt's is not correct. Seems vt1 has shifted to vt7 and CTRL is needed as well as ALT to access them. Get well soon ! :) CC:

Doing this, I see 2 more issues: - F2 is a "hidden feature" (I know, documented in the wiki) - why not show it along with Alt-Ctrl-F<n>, this could be piggy backed to this bugzilla report - I did not manage to make F2 work - hence the screenshot "à l'ancienne. Does F2 not work during stage1? does it now also require a mod-key? I dont have enough time to go into that now, trying to focus on the pending open issues (but I remember, with Alpha 1 I managed to get a screenshot). Thanks Barry and Jürgen. thierry.vignaud Those keys works fine in stage1. The keys you're advocacing are the one that work in stage2. Status:

RESOLVED Sorry for the word "stage1" in my report - I do no know the precise limit between stage1 and stage2, used what seemed plausible. The fact is, that the buttons in the display say Alt-F<something> and that Alt-F<something does not work, while Ctrl-Alt-F<something> does. Shall I submit a new report with "stage1" removed from the report? No. stage1 advertizes key combinations that are only valid for stage1. |
