Description Joe Shmoe 2012-09-12 18:53:50 CEST
The Xfce run dialog a/k/a Application Finder is launched one layer under the window which had the focus before pressing Alt-F2 and can therefore be hidden by it. If no existing window had focus, the dialog is displayed on top.

This is a 3alhpa1 i586 net install, originally LXDE. Then updated and task-xfce installed.

A similar bug 5543 existed in LXDE.

Open Xfce settings -> Keyboard -> Applications shortcuts -> <Alt>F2 and edit the command. Add --replace switch and see if it helps.
