I have a SDHC card 32 GB for my Android phone. I neeed more external memory and bought a SDXC card 64 GB. The cards gets recognized by Mageia 2. But when I try to mount it I get the message that it can't be mounted. The SDXC card is formatted with exfat and I guess that this creates the problem. Mageia needs to get exfat support as soon as possible because more and more people will need more external memory (provided by SDXC card) for their smart phones and buy SDXC cards formatted with exfat. I wish that the packages for exfat support with be available for Mageia 2 (and not only later for Mageia 3). CC:

ed1 I created a rpm for myself. Hi Jens, I don't know how to create RPMs and I'm not too eager to learn it. I expect that a distribution supports widely used hardware. I think that exfat gets more and more widespread (whether we like it or not). So it needs to be supported by Mageia. As far as i have seen, exfat is in mag3, packaged by fedya Changing version to Cauldron for keeping this request. When Mageia 2 will be in End Of Life in a little more than one month, we will close these version bugs. If the package is present in Mageia 3 or Cauldron, you can close this bug. Thanks. -- Mageia Bugsquad Version:
