Notice more low resolution icons in the gnome 3 application list.

These reports are different - position versus look (bug 5178 is a suggestion to move net_applet and mgaapplet to GNOME top panel, whilst bug 7434 (current) refers to the appearance / low resolution of some mga specific icons in both GNOME application list and GNOME popup notification). Also valid for current Cauldron.

Even if we don't have SVG source for the DrakX icons, we need them. I don't know why they weren't used to begin with.
This might be important enough to warrant a project, even if it means redrawing all of the icons from scratch in SVG.

Yes to all your questions, however, we have quite a long list of work needing done and very few designers, so if you know anyone that could help with this it would be really appreciated.

Just looking at this again, I think that we will have to redraw all the icons. We will set it as a goal for MGA4.

Correct me if I am wrong, but as Helene did all the design more MDV, I think that the .svg's were never provided, just the .png's so getting them probably wont be a possibility.

We can always try to ask her if she still has the SVGs and is willing to provide them? It would probably be best to check with former Mandriva employees who contribute to Mageia if it's a good idea.

Can icons encryption-open-24.png, encryption-strong-24.png be found in higher resolution than in size 24x24?
The icons are parts of package drakx-net, too.

Are the icons (encryption-*.png) needed in higher resolution? Where are they used? All icons have higher resolution in the package except encryption-open-24.png, encryption-strong-24.png, encryption-weak-24.png, connected.png, connecting.png, disconnected.png.

I found encryption-weak-24.png in higher resolution:

1. I do not know. TinEye search can help.

2. I do not know. These icons are used in net_applet and connection_manager in lists so I _guess_ there is no need for the higher resolutions now.
