Description Bertrand Marne 2012-09-04 23:30:48 CEST
Description of problem:

Today I was working with libreoffice 3.4.6.2-0.1.mga1 on a document. After the last update the document cannot be opened with libreoffice. I tried it on several other machines with other OSes: it is loaded.

I think the update is involved (and I didn't managed how to fall back to 3.4.6.2-0.1.mga1: when I try to install it, it is the 3.4.6.2-0.3.mga1
 which is installed !)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.4.6.2-0.3.mga1

How reproducible: everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to load a specific odt document (made with Libreoffice)
2. Libreoffice Freezes while loading the doc.

Note: I cannot publish the document involved here, but I can send it to people interested in the debugging.

works fine here (all docs created with libreoffice < 3.4.6 guess so, don't have other)
Comment 2 Bertrand Marne 2012-09-04 23:49:07 CEST
I tried to load this odt on other OSes (it works fine), and then export it in odt, sdw and doc.

Exported odt and sdw freezes libreoffice 3.4.6.2-0.3.mga1 too, but not the exported .doc !

I must be more specific: it is only *one* document that have the problem (the one I can send to whom interested, but cannot post in a public place).

The document *was created* with Libreoffice 3.4.6 (to be more specific: 3.4.6.2-0.1.mga1). And was nicely loaded in libreoffice this afternoon, before the update to 3.4.6.2-0.3.mga1.
Comment 3 Bertrand Marne 2012-09-05 00:07:05 CEST
I also tried to load the document with a fresh libreoffice profile (renaming ".libreoffice") and the document still don't load and freezes LO.
Comment 4 Bertrand Marne 2012-09-05 00:13:08 CEST
Finally I tried to load the document on a Mageia 2 (up to date) and it loads nicely. So, the problem is Mageia 1 specific.

This message is a reminder that Mageia 1 is nearing its end of life.
In approximately 25 days from now, Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing
updates for Mageia 1. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it
remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '1'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to
fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later
Mageia version prior to Mageia 1's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not
be able to fix it before Mageia 1 is end of life. If you would still like to see
this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia,
you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version
of Mageia.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime,
sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia
release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 6 Manuel Hiebel 2012-12-02 14:31:51 CET
Mageia 1 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on ''1st December''. Mageia 1 is no
longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or
bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia
please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia and reopen this bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
