filip.komar or they are all related to https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7913 and another one closed for mga2 Sorry, but this bug saw no action since over 2 yrs ago. No cauldron package has stayed the same since then. Closing as OLD Please reopen if this report is still valid for _current_ cauldron and/or fully updated Mageia 4 Status:

RESOLVED |
Created attachment 2745 [details] syslog of the session in which the kernel was updated. My hardware system has a sata-harddisk and an ide-harddisk. The system boots from the sata-disk. It has the code hd0 in menu.lst. Updating of the kernel to version 3.5.3-2 resulted in changing the code hd0 in hd1 in the header of menu.lst, the line with the title "linux" and the lines pointing to the new and old kernel. The code hd0 had not been changed in the lines pointing to the installed Mageia-2 and Windows systems. This change results in not being able to start Cauldron from the grub-menu. I fixed the problem by manually correcting menu.lst.
