'cast of my X11 session' should read 'crash of my X11 session' in the original report. I am no longer able to replicate this problem - I'm now using the nv (was using the nouveau driver) when this bug was visible, currently unable to go back to nouveau so I can't check if the problem still occurs Closing then. Feel free to reopen the report if the issue happens again. Status:

If I run emacs my X11 session immediately terminates (emacs-23.2-3.mga1), final line of .xsession-errors is mdkapplet: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0. maybe mdkapplet shouldn't be running? Tried this with logins via both fluxbox and kde4 and I got the same result (cast of my X11 session) in both cases. I'd expect my X11 session not to terminate. If I run emacs -nw that doesn't give me a problem.
