I tried it too ina  VM, and using a graphical boot it stopped after the fifth bubble appeared and wouldn't go any further.

Even getting to that stage was dreadfully slow even by Live CD/VM standards.

New livecd iso are on the QA mirrors, feel free to test when you have time, and close this bug.
