Description Alex Loginov 2012-08-28 22:48:29 CEST
Description of problem:
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40802) with this library (version 0x40801)
It's bad idea to put in Updates new version libraries for qt4 if kde on DVD was build with old version of qt4.
It's necessary also to add to urpmi option --downgrade, because kde was broke.

euh I really not see where is a bug here, kde/qt team opinions ?

you just need to do updates. This is just because you half updated you Qt so this is not a bug.

It's better to downgrade in this case, updating is better way not always.

Comment 4 John Balcaen 2012-09-16 16:09:29 CEST
It's strange because you should also have KDE pulled during upgrade (& it was built with current Qt available in updates)
Comment 5 Alex Loginov 2012-09-16 23:49:54 CEST
I never update system. I update only programs. It's big problem to have no downgrade option If user wants to cancel new version and wants old version.
Comment 6 Nicolas Lécureuil 2012-09-16 23:55:04 CEST
please give the output in a terminal of :

rpm -qa | grep 4.8.1
rpm -qa | grep 4.8.2

Then you should disable Updates media...
Also could you be more precise about the problem faced ?
Which program did you install to get this issue ?
Comment 8 Alex Loginov 2012-09-17 10:53:31 CEST
Now I installed new system, because problem was critical.
I sure: If any qt component are updating without full update of system, then other installed qt components must update.
Comment 9 John Balcaen 2012-09-17 11:34:16 CEST
You still did not explain how you did reach this issue :
If you do not *want* to update your system then you need to *explicitly* disable the updates media. We do not support « cherrypicking » of updates media.
How much as i look as this bug it is invalid & i'm closing it like this (like it was before).
