denis.prost I realized that, in fact, gnome-do was in the repositories. That's great ! I'm only missing now the plugins to have it fully efficient. Thanks

misc As a workaround, I generated an rpm package for gnome-do-plugins, from the debian one that can be downloaded from here : http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/all/gnome-do-plugins/download with "alien --to-rpm <debian package>" Then I installed it and had to do one last thing to get it work : ln -s /usr/lib/gnome-do/plugins /usr/lib64/gnome-do/ (since I use the 64 bits Mageia.) I guess that command could be added in the rpm post-installation script when uname -m returns "x86-64", but I don't know enough about rpm packaging to modify the package myself. Anyway it looks like, for someone who knows more than me, achieving a working package should not be a too hard task.

NEEDINFO @Marja If what I see here : http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/gnome-do-plugins/ means that there will be a gnome-do-plugins package in Mageia 2, yes, you can close it ! Regards, Denis @ Denis Sorry, I heard the build might have failed I'll leave this request open and cc the packager Keywords:

Mdv I checked Mageia 2 beta 3 : still no gnome-do-plugins package. Any chance that it is in the final release ? Thanks As with everything in the community world, if nobody do it, no CC:

(none) Unfortunately I don't have skills to do it myself and time to learn. I hoped it would not take too much time for the gnome-do packager to do it but maybe I don't realize what it really takes to achieve it.... (In reply to comment #9) > Unfortunately I don't have skills to do it myself and time to learn. > I hoped it would not take too much time for the gnome-do packager to do it but > maybe I don't realize what it really takes to achieve it.... Unfortunately, we don't have a gnome-do maintainer :( However, thanks for the suggestion, I'll cc two more gnome-do committers who weren't in the cc of this bug yet :) CC:
