makebootfat was available in mandriva but it is missing in Mageia's repositeries
can you package it ?

makebootfat is a tool to make bootable USB disks. It can autodetect, partition, format, and populate the USB disk in a single step without any user interaction. It can also create disk images which are simultaneously compatible with all the three USB booting standards: USB-FDD, USB-HDD, and USB-ZIP.
makebootfat is a command line utility able to create bootable USB disks for Linux and Windows using the FAT filesystem and syslinux.

Changing version to Cauldron for keeping this request.
When Mageia 2 will be in End Of Life in a little more than one month, we will close these version bugs.

I cannot find makebootfat is still supported upstream, therefore closing this request as OLD

Feel free to reopen it if you still need the package and find it is still maintained upstream.
