Sux is a wrapper around the standard su command which will transfer your X credentials to the target user. Sux is released under the terms of the X11 license. http://fgouget.free.fr/sux/sux-readme.shtml


Ever done a 'su -' and then tried to start emacs? If X access is based on xauth, as it is now by default on Debian, then you already know the result: it fails. Using xauth rather than xhost makes a lot of sense from a security point of vue but who wants complications?
So here comes sux. sux works pretty much like su except it also transfers $DISPLAY and your X credentials (or a restricted version thereof) to the specified user.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

Sorry, bugs@ml and pkg-bugs@ml members, for the avalanche.

72 bugs with the "New RPM package request" component, had a severity of "normal" or more, which can lead to losing precious time when searching Bugzilla for bugs that urgently need to get fixed

Now mass-changing that to "enhancement", as it should be for package requests.
