mageia Its not systemd as such... its the fact that we now link /etc/mtab to /proc/mounts wich shows all mountpoints used in the system Yeah this only "worked" in the past due to manual mangling of the /etc/mtab file as tmb stated. It's really not something that is overly sustainable and causes issues when combined with e.g. a read-only filesystem. If you want a consise output then just use "df" rather than "mount". Tools already exist that do what you want, so just use the right tool for the job :) Status:

RESOLVED I understand, and I have done that when I remember, but it's just ... weird to see such a drastic change like that. I figured it was at least worth a bug report, but it is really NBD. Back to looking for real problems! Thanks all. Definitely worth a bug report - feedback is what makes the distro great even when, sometimes, the hassle is not worth the gain :) |
