I have met me also this problem. I reproduced it only when I leaving the VM running in the background and when I do another task on physical machine. When I keeping the mouse cursor active in the VM, I have not reproduced it.

can you attach the file /root/drakx/report.gz
Comment 8 AL13N 2011-10-03 02:00:46 CEST
i have no /root/drakx/report.gz (likely because it didn't complete the installation), but i do have an install.log file
Comment 9 AL13N 2011-10-03 02:01:17 CEST
Created attachment 887 [details]
install.log
Comment 10 Thierry Vignaud 2011-10-04 17:57:19 CEST
Can you attach a compressed tarball of all /root/drakx/* ?
Also, are you sure it's not a virtualbox bug?

See eg "fixed sporadic recompiler crashes with SMP guests " in https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Changelog

Comment 11 AL13N 2011-10-04 20:54:03 CEST
i have no idea if it is or isn't a virtualbox bug. I just have this issue during install, i did not compile anything. it's not 100% reproducable, but almost always it has it at some time during install.
Comment 12 Thierry Vignaud 2011-10-05 07:37:47 CEST
Please try latest vbox
