Description Sascha Schroeder 2012-07-19 13:33:52 CEST
Description of problem:

I switched from Nouveau to the proprietary driver recently. In nvidia-settings it says my monitor is 59,99Hz, KDE and xrandr report 50Hz. Can not change this.

Also, flash-videos are blueish. One can only avoid this by disable "hardware acceleration" in flash-options.

Tearing on monitor and TV with HDMI-out. After setting __GL_SYNC_DISPLAY_DEVICE="DFP-1" (where DFP-1 is your TV), tearing on the TV went away but tearing on the monitor still persists

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
295.49

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install proprietary Nvidia driver
2. Check xrandr and KDE settings for your monitor-Hz. Check nvidia-settings for monitor-Hz; should be something completely different
3. Watch flash-videos for the blueish-effect
4. Surf the net with a browser to sea tearing
