Description You-Cheng Hsieh 2012-07-04 03:11:00 CEST
Description of problem:
When select input method "scim" or "scim-bridge", localedrake will install some scim-* packages for specific user locale, but the following packages are not available in Mageia:
scim-tables
scim-tables-zh
scim-googlepinyin
scim-hangul
scim-thai
There will be a dialog prompt user that "No package named scim-xxx" and scim is not usable due to no input modules available.
Either we should import these packages from Mandriva, or drop scim support completely.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mageia 1, 2, cauldron

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run localedrake
2.Select input method "scim" or "scim-bridge"

Comment 1 You-Cheng Hsieh 2012-09-03 09:50:45 CEST
Could any one help submit scim-googlepinyin, scim-tables, scim-thai?
(I've imported them to package svn.)
Comment 2 Florian Hubold 2014-09-04 02:18:01 CEST
Apart from scim-googlepinyin they are all available. Is this bug still valid with Mageia 4 or cauldron?

Comment 3 You-Cheng Hsieh 2015-05-19 11:54:26 CEST
I'm not sure the status of scim-googlepinyin in cauldron. Is it dropped?

This bug is still valid because of non-existed scim-googlepinyin. If nobody uses it, simply removing it from localedrale (lang.pm) can fix this bug.
Comment 4 Samuel Verschelde 2015-05-19 11:58:16 CEST
Still valid then.

Will this be fixed in mga5? If not, I should write it in errata.

Fixed in my local git.
