Description David Walser 2012-06-24 01:07:13 CEST
QA noticed that net-snmp reports as the system description "Linux 2.4.x."
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6076#c7

This comes from the snmpd.conf file, which was copied from RedHat/Fedora by Mandriva several years ago, and hasn't been updated since. We should re-sync our snmpd.conf file with current Fedora's. There are some other files we should consider re-syncing as well. Looking at current Fedora git, these would be:
net-snmpd.sysconfig
snmptrapd.conf (net-snmp-trapd.redhat.conf in Fedora git)
snmptrapd.service
snmpd.service
net-snmpdtrapd.sysconfig

snmpd.conf is net-snmp.redhat.conf in Fedora git.

The SysV init scripts probably don't need synced if we're going all systemd for Mageia 3.
