Description of problem:

I am adding a request for PrBoom-plus to be added as the included PrBoom is very dated

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

The included version in Mageia is PrBoom 2.5.0 dating back to 2008

How reproducible:

Its a package request

Steps to Reproduce:

I am requesting this package because it updates an older one, and provides added features such as mouse look, faster speed and far greater compatibility with tricky demo playback, realistic sound (OPL3 Emulation)

See change log for changes from PrBoom 2.5.0 to PrBoom-plus 2.5.1.3

Build requires almost he same, so maybe the .spec file can also be used

Been playing around with the Mandriva 2010.2 src.rpm build and it also needs to following adding to the depends list

portmidi (enables Hardware Synth if available)
libmad (for pwads with mp3 audio)
dumb (mods)

Mageia 1 and Mageia 2 (so upgrades were broken). This update fixes this issue
by providing prboom-plus to Mageia distribution.

No, it's a require. So, it's expected.
PrBoom+ can't work without PrBoom.

Where did you get the idea it requires Prboom? It's a standalone app, the only thing it could require is freedoom.

For Mageia 2 testing: just start prboom-plus, then ESC to show the menu, then start a game and play a little bit.
