kernel build should run https://bugs.mageia.org/attachment.cgi?id=2422 in %check so that build fails if some enabled drivers are silently broken due to missing firmwares.

Why does the script skip multemedia (if that means media drivers)?
Some of the stuff there too needs firmware...

Does it take in account that some modules lists several possible firmwares,
but only need one of them to work?

I guess it also not reads the nonfree media, so it will miss a lot of firmwares.

As for having a some missing firmwares breaking the kernel build, I wont do it.

The kernel really works without all firmwares (depending on hw of course)

Sorry, but this bug saw no action since over 2 yrs ago.
No cauldron package has stayed the same since then.

Closing as OLD

Please reopen if this report is still valid for _current_ cauldron and/or fully
updated Mageia 4
