The check on stable are currently quite useless, except for the broken  dependencies in updates and backports (which should be caught by QA anyways).
It may indeed be better to keep only cauldron until more useful checks are added (like package newer than future distro).

it looks like it's still more or less the same situation now, check.mageia.org lists 3, 4 and cauldron but not 5.

This seems fixed as it lists cauldron and 5.
