Description of problem:
When I choose to shut down or restart the system, the monitor enters in power saving mode and no shutdown screen is showing up although the shut down process continues normally. I use kde 32bits,nvidia 8500gt, nvidia 295.49 and kernel 3.3.6-desktop586-2.mga2

I upgraded my hardware, I purchased a nvidia gt440, and I use now the 295.71 driver and the 3.3.8 kernel. The problem exists no more.
