Description of problem:
When kdm login screen is visible, the last letter in "mageia" is out of screen!

During boot, for a half second right before menu appears, the full image is shown.

Desktop is correctly set up, and during install it defaulted to perfect settigns, and also for the nvidia driver after having enabled nonfree.

it works with gdm/lxdm/other ?

Sorry for the delay.
The system got installed by network install two weeks before mga2 release.
I intended to do a fresh install but i am still swamped for a while more...
Will do a fresh install later and if problem persist also try other login managers

Could you provide us the size of the /usr/share/mga/background/default.jpg ?
I guess it's in fact probably related to bug #763 since kdm is using the default.jpg as background (so not kde fault but rather mageia-theme package).
The desktop does not show this issue since we did workaround it by using a kde background package which provides several background resolution & let kde to choose the correct one automatically (it's not possible for kdm :/ )

425 kbyte, same as that one labeled 1900x1440
There is not one labeled 1600x1200 in that folder.

/usr/share/mga/background/default.jpg is a link pointing to
/usr/share/mga/background/Mageia-Default-1920x1440.jpg
which i verified to be 1920x1440 image size

(sorry i see i typed 1900 instead of 1920 in last post)

So the resolution is not Â« correct Â» since you need a 1600*1200.
As said initially the problem lies in the symlink generation so mageia-theme.
