I see this too, but the delay is on the order of 15 seconds. During that time, some things, e. g. konsole, will start right up when clicked. Others, like Firefox and Thunderbird, can be clicked on the panel, and will give you the jumpy cursor with the miniaturized icon, but won't open until the sound has played. CC:

NEEDINFO Still valid for my Mageia 2 system (which is Mageia 2 alpha with all updates applied) installed on my hard disk and for Mageia 2 KDE Live CD.

kristoffer.grundstrom1983 I still see this issue on another installation on my laptop. This message is a reminder that Mageia 2 is nearing its end of life. Approximately one month from now Mageia will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 2. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX (EOL) if it remains open with a Mageia 'version' of '2'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 2's end of life.
