Description Bjarne Thomsen 2012-05-14 12:21:53 CEST
Description of problem:
I substituted "fdev" with "modesetting" in xorg.conf:
BoardName "Intel Poulsbo US15W (GMA500)"
Driver "modesetting"
Option "DPMS"
The screen looks fine, the mouse highlights fields, but there is no cursor making it very difficult to navigate. Should something be added to xorg.conf to fix this?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-desktop-3.3.6
My system is kept up to date

How reproducible:
Always.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja

Mageia2 works on this old hardware with modesetting
and a cursor option; but it does not work with the
new Poulsbo hardware, which requires a newer driver.
Close it, please.
