does it work with "rdloaddriver=radeon" at the grub ? Keywords:
(none) =>
NEEDINFO Anywhere in the grub ? yes like other option Well, the grub crashes. It is not possible anymore to boot any OS (Windows7, Mageia1 and Cauldron were presents) I only have the prompt: Grub > what ? :) seems you are in text mode edition, it is possible to change the option in the gfxboot (grub in graphic) with the F6 chose default and then add a the option. (not sure) Severity:
critical =>
major There is no more gfxboot. The first thing to appear is a two lines comment and then: Grub > That's all. I thing the only way to correct the problem is to use a live CD to edit menu.lst I succeeded to install Mageia2 Cauldron (May be some steps were useless). 1 Make a new install with boot-non-free.iso 2 Accept the update at the end of the installation 3 reboot, the problem is still there 4 In a console, install nonfree media 5 Install the rpm radeon-firmware 6 Reboot, the problem is still there 7 In a console, with drakconf, choose the driver Radeon HD 2000 to HD 6300 (radeon fglrx) 8 Accept suggested proprietary drivers and install them 9 Reboot and it is OK
