Description of problem:
Ati driver 6.14.1-4 appears to be very slow. The previous version was much faster but is now longer available.


How reproducible:
Just try to move a window. The You can see the drawing of the different rectangles which make the window.

1. move a window on the screen
2. look at the speed to do so

I installed beta 1, and now the speed is much better, You can still see the drawing of rectangles but at a fast speed.

BTW, are you using pure 2D desktop or are you using the 3d effects?

3D effects are disabled.

When I tried to activate the 3d effects to progress on bug 87, I saw that the glx module was not installed. I re-install x11-server-common to get it back.

And now I am back with a very slow drawing on the screen as it was before beta 1.

And I cannot activate the 3d effects.

Yes, I just retried with the latest state of Cauldron, and I got the same bad performance.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.
