Hello,
Add a window when the printer also has a scanner.
This window would propose to set up the scanner just after the end of the configaration this printer.
A simple window with two buttons yes and no.

Hello you should open a bug upstream http://cyberelk.net/tim/software/system-config-printer/ since we use only their software.
