jerky video, no desktop effects working....

On my RV710 [Radeon HD 4350] GPU R700 Module: Card:ATI Radeon HD 2000 desktop effects work but unable to play video.flv with dragon player. Same dragon player problem on both systems. Video starts playing for about a second and quits.

clean install, Mageia-2-rc-x86_64-DVD.iso + updates + disabling desktop effects gets me a solid 187 frame rate according to teapot. :-D
 60 if running with desktop effects.  :-(
