denis.prost for handbrake : see bug 5502 I reopened it since there is a new version without faac and its license problem for k9copy see bug 5093 it has been suppressed in mageia2 (task-obsolete obsoletes it when upgrading from Mageia1) We can ask to provide it again for Mageia 2 (it's provided by Debian Wheezy, Fedora 17, ubuntu 12.04, Mandriva 2011, openSUSE 12.1) and even if considered as obsolete by Mageia... it works ! for dvdrip there's yet another request : see bug 2165 CC:

philippedidier Thanks for the answer, Philippe. So I mark this bug as fixed, since bugs 5502 and 2165 should bring a solution and, in the meantime, using cpanminus to install dvdrip is a good workaround. Status:
