Description of problem:
When installing /boot over a separate partition, it's not bootable with GRUB. It says "Error 17"

how is it formated? btrfs too? ext4?

sda1 btrfs
sda2 encrypted LVM with root / and swap

This is working:
sda1 ext4
sda2 encrypted LVM with root / btrfs and swap

Pascal, you should blacklist btrfs for /boot

Can you check current boot.iso (performing a network install) and verify it's OK?
