Description of problem:
Since the latest update, the graphical Desktop won't start/show on a Dell Latitude E6400 (note: it worked fine before).

1. install latest Mageia Cauldron
2. boot and wait

nothing when restarting the dm or in the tty1 or 2 ?

'service dm restart' hangs for 60 seconds, then brings the graphical logon
tty1 (CTRL-ALT-F1) shows some error messages and
tty2 (CTRL-ALT-F2) gives the graphical logon immediately

So is the problem just that the graphical login initialises on tty2 on boot?

it would seem so, but then, when I log in, I get an error message stating:
'Could not update ICEauthority file /home/bertl/.ICEauthority' [Log Out]

will try a new install tomorrow and see how that goes ...

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.
