Gentoo is dropping the package because of this issue, but according to people on the mageia-dev list, it has been fixed in their git and they have released a new version:

I was already working on the package for the version 0.9.2.
I need to complete some check and then I'll ask for the freeze push.

As stated at http://packages.gentoo.org/package/swftools, the package was already reintroduced in gentoo.

swftools version 0.9.2 now available on our repositories (swftools-0.9.2-1.mga2).
I'm going to close this bug report as resolved fixed.
