Description of problem: Choosing "add contact" from either icon or menu in Kopete does not produce any visible output.

How reproducible: Always


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Kopete.
2. Click "Add"
3. Nothing happens.
4. Select "Add contact" from file menu.
5. Nothing happens.

Any errors when you launch kopete from the terminal ?

This is fascinating:

First time I tried it, nothing came up at all:
david@localhost ~ $ kopete
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.

kopete(3288)/kio (KDirWatch) KDirWatchPrivate::removeEntry: doesn't know "/home/david/.kde4/share/apps/kabc" 

OK, so maybe I need an absolute path name:
 
david@localhost ~ $ whereis kopete
kopete: /usr/bin/kopete
david@localhost ~ $ /usr/bin/kopete
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
david@localhost ~ $ 

I returned to the command line, but the Kopete window is still open.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

No update on this bug since almost 2 years ago, so closing as OLD

Feel free to reopen if it is still valid for current, fully updated cauldron or Mga 3 or 4, and adjust the version + name of the src.rpm 
(that would be task-kde4-4.13.0-1.mga5.src.rpm right now)
