Description of problem:

no network for Broadcom NeXtreme II Gigabit Ethernet on IBM Server

How reproducible:
everytime on fresh installation

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install from DVD
2. could not configure the Network
3. dmesg | grep bnx tould me 

Can't load firmware file "bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1.fw"


Solution:

rename the file /lib/firmware/bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1a.fw to /lib/firmware/bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1.fw

and you got the right firmware file.

And we do miss quite a lot...

We still miss a lot of firmware in Cauldron (actually even more than in mga2)
Some of those issues can be fixed by adding missing BR to drakx-installer-images (eg: ipw2[12]00-firmware) but others are due to outdated packages (eg: atmel-firmware)

This missing bnx2 firmware was fixed in kernel-firmware-nonfree-20120421-3.mga2 wich is included in mga2 release
