Why would you add another step for default choice ?
if we do that it's a regression of several year, when we only have the groups selection...

Because I'm sure many users would not want alot of the default bloat. I tend to aim for a -near- minimalist install of my desktop - KDE or Gnome without their default browser and mail utilities in favor of FireFox and Thunderbird, no games, a basic iTunes alternative and word processor of choice (which isn't even available here - IBM Lotus Symphony 3.0.1 - soon to become Apache OpenOffice IBM Edition)

In short, there should be a way for users to have just their desktop of choice and nothing else or a few extra apps without having to force power users to uninstall for 15 minutes before installing their choice apps.

I'm just saying that it should be a tad more flexible, especially for those who don't want to use Custom and guess what packages do what like I've been doing which could accidentally break the system.

Just my point of view

The KDE and Gnome choice is here for have something working out of the box, so this is different.
Power users use the custom choice or script for that, as they know how they can install what they want imho.
And IIRC it's written in the help.

If you think that something is going wrong you should open separate bugs for each issue or one bug for issue related (same desktop). (but maybe wait the beta3 since there is some fix)

I will close this one as wontfix.
Thanks
