Junior_job You have misinterpreted my bug report. Simple-scan *is* a dependency of task-scanning. This bug report is about the fact that task-scanning is *not* installed upon detection of the printer/scanner, so that the unsuspecting user is stuck with scanning tools that should have been obsoleted long ago. Summary:
