Description of problem:
gnome-shell/mutter produces flashing screens and completely unuseable desktop on Lenovo x61s (Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install gnome-shell
2. login with gnome3 session

60 seconds on the desktop (recorded with phone)

note: doing a gnome3 screencapture gives undistorted video, so it seems the actual issue is in the intel driver.
also note: creating a classic session makes the issues disappear.

there was an updates of x11-driver-video-intel for 3-4 weeks, does it work better since ?

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Please reopen when needed and tell for which version(s) of Mageia this bug is still valid.

If it is valid for both cauldron and Mageia 2, then please put MGA2TOO on the whiteboard and let version remain set to cauldron
