I'm guessing this was previously a Mandriva installation. Some of the above rpm packages such as radeon-firmware are available in the Nonfree repository, which is not enabled during the install. Most of the others, such as pysol are not Mageia 1 rpm packages. $ rpm -q -f /usr/games/pysol PySolFC-2.0-10.mga1 If you enable the Nonfree repository, the list will be reduced. CC:

davidwhodgins no, this is a clean install to an empty partition using your 'wired' boot.iso and we are talking mageia 2, not mageia 1 these packages are in the rpmsrate but are missing in mageia OR are in the nonfree media It's only a warning, so it's ok http://svnweb.mageia.org/packages/cauldron/meta-task/current/SOURCES/rpmsrate-raw?revision=230096&view=markup https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Cleaning_rpmsrate Priority:

Low thanks Manuel, good to know, so this is a problem already in hand with someone, maybe there needs a warning somewhere that it may happen in case someone else new to mageia or even worse new to linux hits it and panics? do you wnat to close it or shall I? thanks again ok closing Status:
