Description Marcello Anni 2012-04-08 19:08:21 CEST
Description of problem:

hi,

when i opened mageia control center and entered in "configure printer (s)" it has requested me to install all these packages:

[marcello@localhost ~]$ rpm -qa | grep printing
task-printing-misc-2011-1.mga2
task-printing-okidata-2011-1.mga2
task-printing-epson-2011-1.mga2
task-printing-canon-2011-1.mga2
libkorg_stdprinting4-4.4.11.1-2.1.mga1
task-printing-server-2011-1.mga2
task-printing-2011-1.mga2
task-printing-lexmark-2011-1.mga2
task-printing-hp-2011-1.mga2

why should i install all these drivers even if i don't have any of these printers (excecpt for hp one)? behaviour should be similar to drakx11, where only the proprietary driver needed for the specific graphic card is installed. Can you fix this? thanks

Cheers,
Marcello
