Description Sander Lepik 2012-04-06 12:28:38 CEST
Description of problem:

There seems to be some major memory leak in xorg with nvidia cards. After 3 days of usage X is taking 700MB of memory.

xrestop shows nothing special, all seems fine there. And it only seems to happen with nvidia chips.

There are some similar reports on ubuntu and also few comments from 1.12 that nvidia memory leaks have got some fixes but i couldn't track down any patches.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja
