But it's cause does need fixing as a priority before release still! REASON: It looks like the problem is with the aarnet mirror content. It's either missing or corrupted. I just decided to try another site (nluug.nl) and it's got to the point of picking desktops and desktop-package sets, without any major errors visable on f1, f3 or f4, before I deliberately bombed it out. I shall try with nluug when I am back in off-peak time, late tonight as it wants to download some 2.2gig still. That will mean that two-thirds of my monthy allowance will be gone already when it's down! I shall attach the response on how it went with nluug tomorrow. By the way, there needs to be an overiding exit button visable and available for the installer during any stage of the install added! Having the only option of just turning the power off, just doesn't seem the right thing to do in the linux world! Priority:

Normal "By the way, there needs to be an overiding exit button visable and available for the installer during any stage of the install added! Having the only option of just turning the power off, just doesn't seem the right thing to do in the linux world!" yes but it's not easy to do (iirc) and feel free to open a bug for this one (do to in the long term :) ) I guess we can close this bug, as it's more an mirror issue (that will never happen with a stable release) confirmed that aarnet mirror is the problem, downloaded and installed ok from nluug. I was more than slightly peeved to find on reboot, that it deleted all the install packages without asking. I had intended to copying them across to one of my other test machines without internet access too see how it would handle it's hardware. Your last statement Manual I shall record and store offline,:-)}, I suspect it may come back to bite you! I have marked it resolved and fixed, although resolved is right, maybe there should be something like 'workaround' added to the second pickbox for these types of problems as fixed is not really right.
