At least with ioquake3 games this happens with the default configuration, when you change it to use the same screen resolution as your desktop the flickering stops, but this doesn't happen with supertuxkart.

new fix it My bad, I didn't remember I had the ATI card configured. I reconfigured with the Intel card and the issue persists. This is the driver version I have installed: x11-driver-video-intel-2.19.0-1.mga2 libdrm_intel1-2.4.33-1.mga2 Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.
