Description of problem:
Mageia 1 Alpha 2 use gtk+2.0 2.22.1 release 
but the latest stable version is 2.24.3.
Please upgrade it from 2.22.2 (2010-11-15) to 2.24.3 (2011-03-14) to fix bugs.

Why not using GTK+ 3.0.7? It's a stable release.

we will have it but your question is like you were asking when qt4 have been out "why not use kde3 with Qt4 ? it s a stable release" ;)

gtk3 will be completly used when gnome3 will be used.
