Description Bit Twister 2012-03-25 07:49:08 CEST
Description of problem:

latest update of fglrx-kernel-desktop-latest-8.950-4.mga2.nonfree has caused my Frames Per Second to change from 175 FPS to 30FPS.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. get current proprietary video driver installed, reboot and note FPS with
2. cd /usr/share/mesa-demos/ ; teapot
   Usually 175+ on my system
2. Do updates which installed new fglx modules, reboot and run step 2 again.
   now getting ~30 :(

I think the last time this happened to me, I ran
    mcc->Hardware->Set up the graphical server
which changes something and my 175+ FPS is back.

bug 4968 has become a showstopper for me.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,

Will not be able to confirm until a new fglrx-kernel is released.

Is still bug still valid. It concerns kmod-fglrx-8.950-4.mga2.nonfree.src.rpm. Now we are at 9.012
