text/plain There is nothing in the attachment to indicate a static ip address. What makes you think it is assigning one? Most of the bugs like this I've seen so far have been due to conflicts between the drakxnet tools and networkmanager, that only seem to affect some hardware. Try running... systemctl disable networkmanager.service systemctl stop networkmanager.service systemctl restart network.service I noticed static IP on Network icon. # ifconfig gives me exact static ip address. Btw, it switches when I plug ethernet cable (see attachment). Created attachment 1881 [details]

The 192.168.0.177 is the dhcp assigned address
provided by the router, or whatever dhcp server is being used.

text/plain Given that it's getting an ip address, the interface is working. I notice that you have PEERDNS=yes in the ifcfg file. Perhaps the router isn't configured to provide a dns, or the isp's name servers. What's in /etc/resolv.conf? Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja Keywords:
